LaCour Partners with Queensberry on New Brand & Website

By Andrew Niesen

"We live life through the moments that shape us."

This simple statement summarizes our mission at LaCour: to discreetly document the moments that shape your life, your story and your legacy.

That's why we are honored to partner with Queensberry, master book crafters in New Zealand who produce extraordinary albums. We searched for a partner that would not only provide superlative service, but also offer a timeless heirloom worthy of sheltering & showcasing our client's cherished memories. When we discovered Queensberry, we knew their books were the perfect treasure for our clients! Not only are Queensberry books classic, they are made using the finest materials that withstand the test of time.

Please explore their new website to learn more about their history, values and vision. Offering their albums to you is our privilege.

The Gift of Simplicity

By Andrew Niesen

"If the sight of blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive."
 – Eleonora Duse

The LaCour family spent a summer vacation steeped in the flavor of bold wines, rich pastas and alluring truffles.

Connecting with our Italian roots, we rented a house in Northern Italy's "Langhe" region. The Langhe's landscape is infused with soft languor and delicate charm. Churches and castles stand like sentries situated above orderly rows of vines and hazelnut trees. The vistas are vivid, but the simplicity of slowness seems most memorable. I was able to slow down for the first time in over a year.

It's amazing what I see when I slow down.

The Ballad of a Boring Man

I’m boring. This isn’t one of those posts where I complain about how boring it is to get older. In fact, I’ve always been boring. When I was a kid, my neighbors would come and ask if I wanted to play. I would decline and resume the monotony I was deeply entranced in inside. [...]

Thanks For Visiting, Summer. Could You Leave Me Alone Now?

Kansas City: We'll Clear Out Your Pours Whether You Like It Or Not I hate summer. I hate summer more than you can imagine. If I were a superhero, my arch nemesis would be Dr. Summer. I would spend all of my time trying to stop Dr. Summer from destroying Megaopolis, my superhero location, with [...]
